Yoga Philosophy and Psychology: A Four-Week Introduction to the Yoga Sutras

Have you ever wondered why you feel good after doing yoga?  Did you know that Yoga postures (asana) make up only one limb of the eight limbs of Yoga?  It's true!  The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali are a key to unlocking health, happiness, peace and joy.  Everyone seeks happiness, but not everyone knows where or how to find it.  It seems to come and go with the ups and downs of life.  The truth is, you cannot find true happiness by buying, doing or achieving something.  You can't find it outside yourself.  You can't find it inside yourself.  Why not?  Because happiness simply is.  The practice of yoga is a practice of remembering this truth:  You are happiness, you are peace.  That is why you feel good after doing yoga poses. The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali is the first and foremost scripture of Yoga.  This course will introduce key concepts of the Sutras and open the door to a practical and systematic way to experience all the benefits that Yoga has to offer.

About the Instructor:
