Join us for a series of short documentary films inspired by music, dance and imagination!

5/6 - The Last Repair Shop - 2024 Oscar winning documentary highlighting music education instrument repair and the lives effected by their connection.

5/13 - Hiplet: Because We Can - Hiplet: Because We Can was created with the intention to inspire young Black women around the world. This film brings the Hiplet™ Ballerinas to center stage. Hiplet™ fuses classical pointe technique with hip-hop and urban dance styles. Hiplet™ has blossomed immensely since its creation by Artistic Director Homer Hans Bryant in the early 90s.

5/20 - Caine's Arcade - In 2012, a chance encounter between a filmmaker and a nine-year-old entrepreneur sparked a worldwide movement celebrating creativity, play and the power of imagination.

Nirvan Mullick met Caine Monroy, a 9-year-old boy who built an elaborate cardboard arcade inside his dad’s East LA auto parts shop. Nirvan was Caine’s first customer. Amazed by the boy’s creativity, Nirvan organized a flash mob of customers to surprise Caine and make his day. Then he made a film about it.
