Let your imagination soar at the library! Each Wednesday, kids are invited to explore their creativity through hands-on projects using a variety of materials and resources. 

For children ages 5-12. 

Join us for a celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution, with a special focus on the Ossining area, as Town Historians Caroline Curvan (current) and Scott Craven (past) discuss "Ossining in Neutral Ground".

For children ages 1-3, with a grownup

Songs, stories, rhymes, and bubbles, followed by sensory play. 

Join us for a morning book chat and enjoy fresh bagels and a lively discussion!

The first book to be discussed in 2026 is titled "The Girl Bandits of the Warsaw Ghetto" by Elizabeth R. Hyman.

Drop-in help with homework for children in kindergarten through 6th grade.

Join us for our ESOL class for adults on Friday mornings. ESOL teacher Laura Doty will teach the class in person from *10:30 AM to 12:30 PM* from January 23 through March 27, 2026. 

Registration on our online calendar is required.

A special time to bond with your infant and meet other caregivers. Enjoy movement, books, and nursery rhymes.

For the safety of the infants, this program is for non-walkers only and their grown-ups.

Build and program a robot to learn the basics of coding.

For ages 5-12. Children 8 and under must be accompanied by a grownup. 

Join us for weekly silent meditation hosted by Yorktown Zen and the Ossining Public Library.

Participants will have two 25-minute silent meditation periods, separated by a brief walking meditation.  Cushions and chairs are provided.
