The Library welcomes the Westchester Community Orchestra who will perform their Winter/Holiday Concert.
The Westchester Community Orchestra (WCO) is a non-profit orchestra made up primarily of Westchester residents. We strive to be inclusive and are the first "non-audition" orchestra in the county. We have been performing symphonic music at community centers, libraries and senior centers throughout the county for more than 15 years.
WCO's Orchestra Conductor is William Eckfeld who was the Orchestra Director at White Plains High School from 1987-2013. A graduate of the Eastman School of Music, he was a member of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra before beginning his career in music education.
Special Guest Artist, Piano Soloist Mira Armij Gill is of East-Indian descent and is a Salt Lake City native, and a graduate of the Julliard School of Music where she completed both her Bachelors and Masters degrees. After winning the International Young Artist Piano Award she made her New York debut at Weil Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. Since then, she has performed throughout the United States, Europe and Canada. For more information visit her website HERE.
Don't miss this amazing orchestra who will perform your favorite Christmas and Hanukkah favorites to get you in the holiday spirit!
