Leo Macías es una escritora de novela rosa que escribe bajo el pseudónimo de Amanda Gris. Su editorial  la obliga a escribir cinco novelas al año, pero debido a sus problemas personales lo incumple. Su marido, Paco, es militar  y está mucho tiempo fuera de casa. Leo es una mujer muy dependiente de los demás, la vida se le complica con pequeñeces, a tal grado de solicitar ayuda para poder quitarse los botines que alguna vez Paco le regaló, precisamente es Betty, su mejor amiga y amante de su esposo, quien la ayuda a quitárselas.

Leo Macías is a romance novelist who writes under the pseudonym Amanda Gris. Her publishing house requires her to write five novels a year, but due to her personal problems, she fails to meet that demand. Her husband, Paco, is in the military and spends a lot of time away from home. Leo is a very dependent woman, and her life becomes complicated by small things—to the point where she even needs help taking off the ankle boots that Paco once gave her. Ironically, it is Betty, her best friend and her husband's lover, who helps her take them off.
