All parents and caregivers are welcome to attend this informative presentation "Raising Emotionally Strong Kids" by Jared Davin
Join Jared for this educational meeting designed to help parents understand what's happening beneath a child's big emotions; recognize how adult calm and modeling shape a child's regulation; learn five practical tools parents can use right away at home; and feel encouraged, not judged, about growing as parents. We will work together to equip parents and caregivers with simple tools to help children manage emotions, strengthen communication, and create emotional safety at home!
Topics to be covered include: Why talking doesn't work; How your nervous system dictates the tone of the home; Helping kids feel safe without giving in; and How to end meltdowns FAST without yelling or giving up, and more!
Jared Davin is a trauma-informed counselor and holds a Masters degree in Counseling. He works with adults, parents, and families to help them understand emotional regulation, nervous system responses, and how early experiences shape behavior and relationships. Jared is also a K-8 Physical Education and Health teacher, where he focuses on helping children build emotional awareness alongside physical well-being. His work emphasizes practical tools for staying regulated under stress, parenting without power struggles, and breaking generational patterns of reactivity. Jared brings grounded, real-world approach that blends education, lived experience, and compassion - helping parents and caregivers stay in leadership without shame, fear, or control.
In case of inclement weather, this program will be rescheduled to a later date.
Registration is encouraged but not required to attend. Walk-ins are welcome. Please register here on the calendar.
