Please join us for an afternoon of poetry reading and book signing!

Alexis Krasilovsky is the author of Watermelon Linguistics: New and Selected Poems (Cyberwit), a 2022 International Book Awards finalist.  Previous books include Great Adaptations: Screenwriting and Global Storytelling (Routledge), 2nd place winner, 2019 International Writers Awards, and Women Behind the Camera (ABC-CLIO).  She is a documentary filmmaker and videopoet, as well as Professor Emerita of Screenwriting at California State University Northridge.  Alexis grew up in Chappaqua, New York, and now lives in Los Angeles.  Visit Alexis Krasilovsky for more info.

Sean Singer is the author of Discography (Yale University Press, 2002), the winner of the Yale Series of Younger Poets Prize, selected by W.S. Merwin, and the Norma Farber First Book Award from the Poetry Society of America; Honey & Smoke (Eyewear Publishing, 2015); and Today in the Taxi (Tupelo Press, 2002), which won the 2022 National Jewish Book Award.  He runs a manuscript consultation service at https://www.seansingerpoetry.com/

Vanessa Hedwig Smith will moderate the conversation.  She is a painter, filmmaker, and writer who has lived and worked in India, Nepal, England, and the U.S.  Most of her work revolves around the environment, mental health, medicine, beauty, and art.  Her first book of poetry, Room Tone, will be published by Finishing Line Press in February 2024.  Visit Vanessa H Smith, filmmaker, producer, director, editor, cinematographer, and media artist.
