Welcome to Multicultural Film Series Program, a captivating journey through the rich tapestry of global cinema. This thoughtfully curated film series celebrates the beauty of diversity, inviting audiences to explore a world of storytelling that transcends borders and embraces the myriad cultures that make our world vibrant.

This film series is not just a collection of movies; it's an exploration of the shared human experience in all its beautiful diversity.

Each film is a testament to the universality of human stories and the power of cinema to bridge cultural gaps.

This movie is an Italian drama film directed by Andrea Segre. It won the European Parliament. Zhao Tao won the David di Donatello for Best Actress for her performance as Shun Li. It also received the Whitehead Award at the 13th annual international film festival.

Shun Li (Zhao Tao) has been working in a textile workshop in the outskirts of Rome for eight years to pay off her debt to human traffickers in order to bring her son to Italy. She is suddenly transferred to Chioggia, a small island town situated in the Venetian lagoon, to work as a bartender. Bepi (Rade Serbedzija), a fisherman of Slavic origin, nicknamed "the Poet", has been visiting the bar for years. Their meeting is a poetic escape from loneliness, a laconic dialogue between different cultures.
