Celebrate Make Music Day Ossining/Briarcliff/Croton!
Make Music Day is a worldwide celebration of music held each year on the summer solstice, with free performances and hands-on music-making events in over 1,000 cities.
There will be two featured performances at the library:
- Live Music with Jessi Rose (12-1 p.m.) - Jessi Rose is a singer/songwriter who sings and plays her heart out with her music. Her style blends pop, rock, and sometimes metal. Her dream is to share and perform her relatable, unique songs worldwide.
Band of Sisters (2-3 p.m.) - Band of Sisters, directed by percussionist Nanette Garcia, is a community of 11 women drummers from all walks of life who came together in February 2024. Based in Yorktown Heights, the group performs traditional Afro-Cuban rhythms, including Puerto Rican Bomba.
This great event is made possible by the Mike Risko Music School.
Come to the library and enjoy some fantastic music!
