Join us for a dramatic & theatrical presentation. Participants will see a narrated historical perspective of what happened once freedom was announced on June 19, 1865. 

A Juneteenth Story: A family struggles to decide on the next moves after the news of emancipation which reveals how the residual effects of slavery dictated their decisions to move forward. Through this historical reenactment, readings, and music the black experience is expressed and the history of Juneteenth is told. Narrated by Ossining Village Historian, Joyce Sharrock-Cole, performed by the Negro Ensemble of Westchester (N.E.W.) and friends.
