Women’s History Month 2025

A Fireside Chat led by Ossining Town Historian Caroline Curvan.

Come learn about the lives and accomplishments of local women who impacted the lives of our community and the world.

Featured in this eclectic group of women are artists (Harriet Agate, Inez Matthews, Vera Neumann); activists (Emma Goldman, Eliza Farnham); abolitionists and suffragists (Sojourner Truth, Carrie Chapman Catt, Narcissa Cox Vanderlip); scientists (Henrietta Swope, Ruth Murray Underhill); philanthropists (Kathryn Lawes, Sally Swope); WWII veterans (Edith Cheatham Smith, Mary Feeney, Jennie Fiorito), Anne M. Dorner (who the middle school is named after and in the featured photo) and many more . . .

This chat is in conjunction with the Women’s History Month Exhibit installed in the OPL Art Gallery.

Light refreshments will be served.  All are welcome to attend.
