Stone walls...why are they here and who made them? The answers might surprise you! At one point there were over two hundred thousand miles of stone walls in New England and New York...why? Why are there few if any stone walls south of the Giants' stadium?
Let's talk about these questions and more, and you can tell us about your favorite local walls and share your stories. (There will be a prohibition on any Robert Frost references because they're just too easy...)
Join us to learn all about local stone walls in a talk facilitated by former Town of Ossining Historian and former Ossining Police Captain Scott Craven.
Light refreshments will be served.
