Calling all boat building enthusiasts!
So you want to build a boat? Anybody can build a boat, and we mean anybody! Former Town of Ossining Historian and retired Police Captain Scott Craven can't nail two pieces of wood together, but he has built five boats and they all float. All you need are the tools, a little determination, an understanding family, and a dream. In this talk, Scott will cover some of the more popular building methods including exotic terms like "stitch and glue" and "skin on frame" and "stripper." All building methods that mere mortals can use to build safe, light boats to explore the greater Hudson Valley and the mighty Hudson River!
Registration is not required. All are welcome to attend.
