Dr. Laura Jaworski is a licensed veterinarian, wildlife rehabilitator and falconer. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from UMass Amherst and went on to graduate from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. After graduation, Dr Laura moved to New York to practice small animal medicine. She now resides in Orange County. In addition to small animal practice, she holds a Class II wildlife rehabilitation permit with a large mammal amendment as well as a federal rehabilitation permit. Laura practices wildlife medicine and rehabilitation in conjunction with a few different facilities, including Friends of the Feathered and Furry Wildlife Center, Hudson Highlands Nature Center, Avian Wildlife Center, Trevor Zoo, as well as others. She also has a home-based rehab facility. Although she works with species from turtles to Black Bear, her favorite to work with are the raptors! When not leading the very busy life of a veterinarian and a rehabilitator, Laura enjoys caring for and flying her falconry birds. She also enjoys doing education programs and holds a state and federal education permit.
