Meet African American artist Tanya Evans-Johnson and enjoy light refreshments while browsing beautiful artwork as we celebrate Black History Month.
Tanya is a local artist who uses items from ordinary trash that is saved from entering landfills and oceans to create sustainable and amazing art.
"I rescue recyclable materials that ordinarily end up in landfills or worse yet, into our oceans. I love knowing that my art is stopping that from happening. Even if just a little. With each piece I want the viewer to wonder how it was made. I want to encourage that curiosity. And when they discover what was actually used, I want them to say, WOW! That was made from trash?" - Tanya Evans-Johnson
Art pieces are available for purchase; a price list is available in the Gallery. To inquire about purchases please contact the artist directly at treunique@aol.com.
