Please join us for a lively and interactive presentation on "American Muslim Family Life" presented by Sister Ola Nosseir, Founder of "Our Common Beliefs."
Ola will be sharing stories of her childhood growing up in Alexandria, Egypt until her parents made the difficult decision to move to New York and settle in Ossining when Ola was just 10 years old. Moving to a new country as a kid was difficult for Ola; she will discuss the trauma and anguish it caused her and the struggles she faced. Ola will discuss her experience in school and growing up with virtually no other Muslim friends, later married life, and the challenges of raising Muslim children in America.
Attendees will learn about the day-to-day life of an American Muslim Family and the challenges they face.
Pre-registration is encouraged but not required to attend. Walk-ins are welcome. All are welcome to attend.
*In case of inclement weather, the program will be rescheduled to a later date.*
